Tim has been married to his childhood
sweetheart, Linda, since 1980 and together they have two children,
Josh and Rachel. Josh is a graduate of Azusa
Pacific University pursuing his career as a financial planner
with Northwestern Mutual
Financial Network. Rachel is a graduate of Vanguard
University and is presently works as an account representative
for Artistry Marketing
in Dallas, Texas. Tim has been in full time ministry since 1984,
but several years of ministry in the mid to late 90's proved to
be extremely difficult. Both Tim and Linda faced life-threatening
health issues and combined with the pressures of planting a new
church, their marriage suffered.
From all outward, public appearances
they had an excellent marriage, one to be emulated. But the call
to love and the determination to dodge hurt set up a radical internal
contradiction and they gradually became emotionally detached from
each other. Over the course of doing this for many years, Linda
began to be so desirous of love that she became emotionally vulnerable.
An affair became inevitable and in the summer of 2000, Tim and Linda
personally experienced the pain of infidelity within their marriage.
God remained very faithful and continued His painful pursuit to
get their attention.
At the brink of disaster and faced
with several options, they chose to honor God and their marriage
vows. Through this restoration process, Tim and Linda feel that
God has prepared them for what they believe will be the best and
most productive years of their marriage and ministry. God has taken
them through the fires of change. He has forged His signature on
their lives. He has tempered them through those fires in such a
way that they are better, stronger, and more compassionate, with
a deeper sense of God's call and purpose on their lives than ever
before.
Their story of recovery and restoration
promises to establish a positive change in any couple that hears
it. After much prayer they have birthed three extremely insightful
conferences - The True Intimacy
Marriage Conference the Godly
Masculinity Men's Conference and their new marriage conference
Thrive. You can also follow Tim on Facebook,
